3: Darkness Darkness - Robert Plant
4: Evenflow - Pearl Jam

6: Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
7: Mandelgroove - Blue Man Group
8: Make You Feel Better - Red Hot Chili Peppers

Not a bad playlist, if I do say so myself, even if Blue Man Goup is an aquired taste. Try it sometime.

27 -0, take that, Fulton. That's gotta be embarassing for defending state champs, huh? :p

Went to Georgia Tech yesterday. Go to Rice Friday. SAT Subject tests next week.
Busy=Bad.

So I will leave you with this algebraic gem seen written on a desk at Georgia Tech.

Study = No Fail
No Study = Fail
Study + No Study = Fail + No Fail
(1 + No)Study = (1 + No)Fail
Study = Fail

#1: Halo 3 for the WIN

#2: I really oughta post some art here, but...

#3: I'm all art-ed out from Spirit Week. That, and Halo 3 beckons...

So, just so you know, I still draw. Just haven't finished anything recently.

I have employment. I owe Alec a cake or something. :) Yay, I get a car. Yay, I get moneys for Warhammer. Yay, I no longer have to worry over not being able to afford Halo 3 when it comes out. Plus, hours won't interfere with Tech Club, the Warhammer campaign, or Open Gaming.

Yeah, I definitely owe him a cake.

In other news, Bungie is hosting a Halo 3 preview party in Seattle. At the IMAX. They are going to play Halo 3 on an IMAX screen. That's freaking awesome...

I hope that once the Wh40k Campaign progresses to Week 9, I will be able to take full army pictures for me, ~spikky48, ~MoshMosh, and Alec. Then, Week 10, hopefully ~Cho-roku will be around to take pictures for the finale battles.

I will, of course, be posting all of that on my website. Do you guys want me to post the best pictures here too? Perhaps to be scrapped later?

Also, yes, ~spikky48 and ~MoshMosh, this means to paint like the dickens. Speaking of such, I shall probably go do that now.

Mindless Filler

  • Mood: Stuck
I'm currently wrestling with Rhapsody. Every time I have to reformat it to work with Vista or anti-virus firewalls and junk, it nullifies my liscences. Boo. So now I'm redownloading everything. Also, I'm downloading stuff for Band. We are playing Santana. Fun and *painfully* complex rhythmically.

So, while stuff is downloading, I do this quiz that has been floating around.

1. The phone rings. Who do you want it to be?
A toll-free number so I don't have to answer it.

2. When shopping at the grocery store, do you return your cart?
On the *extremely* rare occasion that I am there, yes.

3. In a social setting, are you more of a talker or a listener?
Listener in most situations.

4. Do you take compliments well?
I don't know. I am irredeemably meritless and utterly devoid of anything worth complimenting. *rolls eyes*

5. Do you play Sudoku?
Rarely.

6. If abandoned alone in the wilderness, would you survive?
I hope I never have to find out.

7. What song are you listening to right now?
Oye Como Va, 'cause I need to download it for Band.

8. Did you ever go to camp as a kid?
Never.

9. What was your favorite game as a kid?
Tag. Honor the classics.

12. Could you date someone with different religious beliefs than you?
Depends.

13. Do you like to pursue or be pursued?
A person worth being pursued by is worth pursuing. The difficulty is deciding whether they are worth either, 'cause until you pursue them, you really have no idea whether they are worth pursuing or not.

14. Use three words to describe yourself.
Prefers more words.

15. Do any songs make you cry?
*snort*

16. Are you continuing your education?
I will, but where?

17. Do you know how to shoot a gun?
I could probably figure it out if I had to. :) I was a horrible shot with a bb gun in boy scouts long ago, but I wasn't bad at all the couple of times I've played paintball, and I'm pretty good at Laser Tag. I guess the less real the gun is, the better I do, 'cause I'm better at Halo than I am at any of those.

18. If your house was on fire, what would be the first thing you'd grab?
A hose.

19. How often do you read books?
Whenever I have the free time, which, due to all of the other activities I do in my free time, is less than you'd think.

20. Do you think more about the past, present or future?
Present. Sometimes future, rarely past. I tend to only remember embarassing things.

21. What is your favorite children's book?
Richard Scarrey's Busy People. Poor Mr. Frumble and his hat.

22. What color are your eyes?
Blue.

23. How tall are you?
5', 10-11"

24. Where is your dream house located?
Hogsmeade. :)

27. Have you ever taken pictures in a photo booth?
No. If I want to take my picture, I'll do it for free, thanks.

28. When was the last time you were at Olive Garden?
End of football season last year with a bunch of the band people.

30. Where was the furthest place you traveled today?
Band room for the start of practice.

32. Do you like mustard?
Yup.

33. Do you prefer to sleep or eat?
I am determined to become the first person in history to do both at the same time. I shall achieve nirvana.

34. Do you look like your mom or dad?
No. Apparently I sound like my dad though.

35. How long does it take you in the shower?
Almost always exactly 13 minutes. Funny how years of school gets you into a routine.

36. Can you do the splits?
I don't know, and I don't really care to try.

37. What movie do you want to see right now?
Simpsons Movie and Bourne Ultimatum.

39. What did you do for New Year's?
Must not have been anything particularly memorable, 'cause I don't remember.

40. Do you think The Grudge was scary?
Never saw it. I don't get the point of watching "scary" movies.

42. Do you own a camera phone?
Kind of. I'm supposed to share it.

44. Was your mom a cheerleader?
*laugh* No. Not like her at all. JV basketball and band cornet player.

45. What's the last letter of your middle name?
H.

46. How many hours of sleep do you get at night?
Usually less than I want, but that's not really saying a lot.

48. Do you like care bears?
Eww.

49. What do you buy at the movies?
Nothing, 'cause I'm a cheapo.

50. Do you know how to play poker?
Yup.

51. Do you wear your seatbelt?
Yup.

52. What do you wear to sleep?
Yup. Oh, wait... not a yes/no question. Boxers, usually, except to sleepovers, for which I have pj pants.

53. Anything big ever happen in your hometown?
Depends on where you consider my hometown. Is it where I was born, where I grew up, or where I live? Houston has plenty of big things that happen. They were in the World Series a while ago. Temple, not so much. We do have the Fort Hood fireworks show on independence day, though. And Knoxville has concerts and junk, plus boomsday and the boat parade and stuff.

54. How many meals do you eat a day?
2.347

58. Do you like funny or serious people better?
Depends on who.

59. Ever been to L.A.?
No, and I don't aspire to.

60. Did you eat a cookie today?
I'll put it on my to-do list.

61. Do you use cuss words in other languages?
Sometimes when I dream, I'll dream in spanish (which is odd and kinda neat), but I can't recall ever cursing in one. And certainly not when I'm awake.

62. Do you steal or pay for your music downloads?
Neither. My family pays for Rhapsody, so I get all the music I feel like downloading at no personal expense, completely legally.

63. Do you hate chocolate?
It's blasphemy to even suggest such an idea...

64. What do you and your parents fight about the most?
I gave up on fighting. Logic and fact only work if people listen.

65. Are you a gullible person?
I hope not.

66. Do you need a boyfriend/girlfriend to be happy?
I hope not.

67. If you could have any job (assuming you have the skills) what would it be?
I hope not. Oh, wait... *rolls eyes* I suppose I'd have to be a Travel Channel cameraman. Fun.

68. Are you easy to get along with?
I think so. I get along with me pretty well most of the time.

69. What is your favorite time of day?
After eating.

70. Are you easy to fall in love with?
The sarcasm inherently present in my answer to that would be lethal to most people, so I shall maintain a cynical silence.

The Annual Schedule Journal

Sat Jul 28, 2007, 8:04 PM
  • Mood: Confused
  • Reading: The schedule... duh...
It's that time of year again! The time of year where I put up my schedule to see what classes I have with all of you, and then go back into my room and panic about AP summerwork that I really should have done by now. It's okay. It's a tradition.

A - US Government AP - Coslett - B201
B - Chemistry 2 H - Kearse - A015
C - Spanish 4 H - Schwartz (Poop!) - B108
D - Christian Vocations - Roberts - B205
D - Speech - Sexton - Theatre Room
E - English 4 AP - Murray - Library
F - Calculus AP - Bartlett - PH1
G - Economics - Hutchins - A011
G - Apologetics - Sr. John Catherine - B205
H - Band - Romines - Band Room

Yes, my schedule has an H block. Odd. They used to call Enrichment that, so maybe I just have Band as my enrichment all year, and manage to get course credit for it. More likely, I get course credit 'cause we're going to be practicing before school during football season.

Also, note where AP Calc is. "PH1." Apparently I get to have a class in the Parish Hall. Won't that be all echo-ey and aweful? I hope we get to move into one of the new classrooms once they're done...
